Spellbinders Designer Favorites Blog Hop - Flower Top Gift Boxes

Hello friends! Welcome to Spellbinders Designer Favorites Blog Hop!! We are so excited to show you our favorite product designs we have created this year for Spellbinders. I have a tutorial to share with you on how to create these gift boxes using Spellbinders Flower Top Box Die Set from my Celebrate the Day Collection. You can also use these boxes as party favors for special occasions like bridal showers, birthday parties and holidays. They are really easy to make, all the cutting and scoring lines are in the die ready for you to assemble the box in no time.

Instructions:

1. Die cut gift box with Flower Top Box Die Set. You need to die cut 2 pieces from 2-sided design paper. 



2. Die cut 6 small square top layers, color edges with distress ink and foam applicator. 



3. Glue both pieces together at the center of the base and then glue square top layers.



4. Fold all scored lines and then assemble box by gluing the side tabs under the side panels.



5. Fold top petals back and then curl with a bone folder or pencil. Use ribbon to tie together and your gift box is done.

Spellbinders Sunflower Shaker Card

Hello Friends! I am up on the Spellbinders Blog today showing you how to create this Happy Birthday shaker card using Spellbinders Sunflower Photo Holder die set from my Special Occasions Collection. The cute little girl in the picture is my 4 years old granddaughter.








Instructions:

1. Create a 6” x 6” card base from natural white cardstock. Cover front of card with designer cardstock.

2. Cut 3 more square layers measuring 4”, 4 ¾” and 5 ½”. Distress edges and then adhere to card with 3D foam squares.



3. Die cut 4 large sunflowers with Sunflower Photo Holder die set from designer cardstock. Die cut window to 2 of the sunflowers with smaller circle die in the set.





4. To create sunflower shaker, die cut foam circle with Standard Circles #4 and smaller circle from Sunflower die set. Die cut acetate circle and picture with Standard Circle #4.





5. To assemble sunflower shaker, layer 2 sunflower die cuts at the bottom, next picture, foam circle, micro-beads, acetate and lastly 2 sunflower die cuts. Use strong tape or glue between layers. Adhere sunflower shaker to center of card.



6. Die cut flowers and leaves with flower dies from Lattice Floral Basket die set using white Foamiran sheet. Color with archival inks, shape and adhere to card corner. Embellish center of flowers with micro-beads. Make a bow with silk ribbon and glue under flowers. 





7. Cover the inside of card with designer cardstock. Die cut Happy Birthday Pop-Up from designer cardstock.  







8. Fold at scored lines, adhere tape to tabs and then attach to inside of card center as pictured.

Spellbinders - Flower Top Gift Boxes

Spellbinders Easter Lattice Floral Basket

Hello friends! Today I have these vintage Easter baskets to share with you created with Spellbinders Lattice Floral Basket die set from my Celebrate the Day Collection. This basket is quite simple to assemble, all the work is in the die. The flower dies and handle are also included in this die set.





Instructions:

1. To create basket base, die cut 2 pieces with Lattice Floral Basket die set from designer cardstock.




2. Apply double sided adhesive tape on tabs and attach both pieces together at the base of basket. You can also use glue.


3. Apply 1/8” wide double sided adhesive tape around right square on 4 sides as pictured below. Fold at scored lines before next step.



4. Overlap left square on top of right square with adhesive tape and press together. Repeat this process with 4 sides to form basket base.



5. Die cut multiple flowers with flower dies included in the set. Color edges with distress inks using foam applicators and Tool ‘N One. Shape flowers with stylus tips and then glue petals together to form flowers.



6. I used 2 petals for the flower and 1 petal for the leaves to form the flower. Embellish center of flowers with Nuvo Crystal Drops.



7. Die cut handle twice and glue together for a stronger handle. Make a bow with silk ribbon and then adhere to center of handle. Adhere smaller flowers to the handle. Attach handle to basket using glue.





8. Glue larger flowers to four sides of basket as pictured below. Fill basket with Easter chocolate eggs and your basket is done.


 9. Fill basket with Easter chocolate eggs and your basket is done.
