Embossed Christmas Tags

Hello friends! Today, I have these Christmas tags to share with you using Spellbinders die templates, 2011 Heirloom Ornament ,  2010 Heirloom Ornament ,  Standard Circles Small , and Classic Ovals Small
The flowers were die cut with the flower dies from the set Hexagon Petal Envelope by Spellbinders. The card stock was embossed with Flower Delight Grand Impressabilities template.

Start by die cutting the ornaments on cream card stock as the picture below shows. Make sure to use removable tape to hold dies in place with cut side down on the cutting plate. Run through the Grand Calibur die cutting machine.

Emboss cut ornaments using Flower Delight Grand Impressabilities template. See picture below.

Ink embossed ornaments with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Evergreen Bough, Festive Berries, and Vintage Photo. Ink embossed areas lightly using a foam applicator, this process will highlight the embossed area. You can also ink the back of the ornaments.

I used photos for the centers which I layered  between the embossed front and back ornament piece. I also rubber stamped some of the centers with JustRite Stampers rubbers stamps, Merry and Bright and Christmas Mini Sentiments Set. Glue pieces together and punch a small hole for ribbon.

The flowers were die cut with Hexagon Petal Envelope flower dies. The pieces were layered and glued together with foam tape for extra dimension. You can see my tutorial on how to make these flowers on this link:  Hexagon Petal Envelope and Basket Ensemble.
The scrolls and leaves were die cut with Floral Flourishes by Spellbinders.

  2. Stunning tags all of them!! Thanks for the description of how you made them also!!

There is one bit I don't quite get though, as the circle in the center will be the same size as the cut out, how do you glue it, or is the photo or stamped bit on a larger circle?

  3. Oops, I guess I just worked it out, you cut a second ornament and layer the circle inbetween?
